Copywriter/Creative Strategist - MarComm Group

Award-winning professional writer, journalist and creative strategist with over 20 years’ experience in advertising, PR and marketing communications.

Michleen has worked as Copywriter, Copy Director and Creative Director for advertising agencies and public relations firms, in addition to in-house marketing and professional writing and editorial positions.

Her articles have been published in newspapers, magazines and books. She has written and edited publications and marketing materials for Better Homes and Gardens, RE/MAX, Coldwell Banker, and other real estate leaders, as well as editorial content for local and regional Chambers of Commerce and statewide tourism and economic development campaigns.

Michleen has extensive health care and biomed writing experience. She has also produced creative materials, PR and advertising for national accounts such as Hallmark, Sprint, Hy-Vee Food Stores and Walmart.

In addition to ad and PR campaign awards, she has been nationally recognized for successful campaigns in business, tourism, economic development, health care, and professional association and non-profit special-issue, image and awareness campaigns.

Her experience also includes product development, branding and original private-label trademark names, packaging copy and sales collateral for importers and national retailers. This includes Jay Imports, TriQuest, Staples Office Supply, Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee grocers and others.
